On June 3, 2017, Carol Glory Kaplan, the daughter of Kitty (nee Rosenzweig) and Benjamin Tannenbaum, passed from this life peacefully at age 91, leaving behind a loving, and loved family, and many, many friends, both here and abroad, who will miss the joy and laughter that was so much a part of her company. For 68 years, brimming with excitement and life's successes, Carol was in love with and was deeply loved by her late husband George, who preceded her in death two years ago.
She is survived by her loving and constant sister, Marion Grossman, and brother-in-law, Jay; her two sons, John and Jim, who were clearly instrumental in sharpening her skills as a mother; her beloved grandchildren, Molly and Emma; daughters-in-law, Tessa and Phyllis; a bevy of wonderful nieces and nephews; and her very, very best friend of 82 years filled with adventures, Marcy Simson.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Jill, of whom she was very proud. Mom, we all miss you so very much. You are in our hearts forever.
