Darrel Douglas Anderson

Darrel Douglas Anderson, 65, of Charleston WV, formally from Moundsville WV passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife and daughter by his side on December 8, 2023.  He was born December 27, 1957, the son of the late Dare and Rose Marie Anderson.  Darrel is survived by his wife Kristina Wright Anderson of Charleston and his daughter Lacey (Kevin) Greene of Wellsburg WV; sisters Darla (Bill) Fitzgerald of St. Clairsville, Ohio and Shelley (Bill) Bommer of Palm Coast, Florida; four grandchildren, Maddy Long, Avery Greene, Douglas Greene, and Tina Greene of Wellsburg WV; and lastly, his faithful and furry companions, Sable and Minnie.

  Darrel was retired from the WV State Capitol.  He enjoyed taking care of and feeding the song songbirds and humming birds, spending lots of time with nature in his yard and garden. He was an avid WVU fan, especially WVU Basketball.  He enjoyed spending his spare time hunting and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who were his pride and joy.
