Karen Newhouse

Karen Chrystell Parton Newhouse, 72, of Charleston, West Virginia, gained her heavenly wings on March 4, 2025, surrounded by her family. Karen was born June 27, 1952, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Jack and Betty Parton, who preceded her in death. 

Karen was a teacher at Putnam Career and Technical Center for 35 years. 

Surviving Karen are her sisters, Deborah K. Parton and Kathi L. Brown (Danny). Sons, Benjamin B. Newhouse and wife Jennifer Wheeler, and Dustin A. Newhouse. Grandchildren, Emmelee Newhouse, Olivia Newhouse, and Jack Newhouse. Great grandson Hudson. Nieces Morgan C. Parton Bennett, Chelsea Brown Howell, and nephew Tommy Brown. 

Per Karen’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Burial will be private at Springhill Cemetery Park, Charleston, West Virginia beside her Mother and Father.
