Lena I. Roberts

Lena Roberts of Windom Rd, Pineville, WV passed away in the home of her daughter Patricia (Patty) Roberts August 8,2020. She was 93. Services will be Friday, August 14; 2:00 pm at Cooper Memorial Baptist Church. Many may remember her from working at Goodsons Supermarket for many years. Preceded in death by husband Willie J Roberts in 1955 and daughter Joyce Darlene McKinney in 2018. An active member of Cooper Memorial all of her life except the last two year spent in NC. She became a widow at the age of 27, with a 7 year old, a 4 year old, expecting the 3rd daughter. She is survived by daughter Betty Jean Roberts Blackwell, of Check, VA and daughter Patricia (Patty) Jo Roberts of Middlesex, NC, 8 grandchildren and a large family of 4 generations that adored her and will miss her, sister Jerry Stewart Norrrod of Dayton, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 o'clock PM, Friday, August 14, 2020, at the Cooper Memorial Baptist Church, Windom Road, Pineville, WV, with Reverend Ron Gray officiating. Private burial will follow in Stewart Family Cemetery, Windom Road. Walk through visitation will begin at 1:00 o'clock PM at the church. Masks and social distancing is expected.
