Lisa Ann Combs
Lisa Ann Combs, 52, of Charleston, passed away, January 7, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard C. Combs of Charleston, and Nina C. Metz of Danville.
She is survived by her sister, W. Jean Kellogg, her niece, Laurel Kellogg, and her stepfather, Lewis Dale Metz.
Lisa was born October 8, 1964, in Charleston. Most of her adult life was lived locally, where she worked at various locations in business and administrative support, in handicapped client support, and in IT help desk service, including many years spent working for AT&T. She lived for a few years in San Angelo, Texas, relocating to be near her mother and stepfather. She became, and remained to her death, a very passionate Dallas Cowboys fan.
Later, she received training to work as an over-the-road truck driver. She greatly enjoyed driving a big rig, just as she loved conversing with other truck drivers and watching seasonal changes of scenery unfold, in the many different landscapes which she passed through in her travels.
Lisa was spiritual, an active participant in her church, and a faithful servant to God. She lived as she believed, and was a very authentic person.
She was an avid, companionable fisher-woman, and  a fun-loving, congenial card-shark.
She was memorable, uniquely individual in personality and in looks.
Her crystal-blue eyes sparkled with humor. Her ready smile and friendly banter were enjoyed by most with whom she interacted, whether a stranger, an acquaintance, family or friends. Her wonderful joking manner put others at ease. Lisa was genuine, kind and sincere, with a generous heart, ever overflowing with love.
We who knew and loved her are very fortunate. She will always be beloved - the perfect example of what and how a sister should be, a loving and caring daughter, a wonderful lifelong friend and the dearest companion for having fun adventures.
Lisa will be desperately missed by her sister, Jean; and also by her cherished friends, James White Jr., Victoria Baxley, Katrina Workman and many others.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, January 13, via Bridges of Grace UCC. The service will be held in the Main Sanctuary of Kanawha United Presbyterian Church, 1009 Virginia Street East, Charleston. Pastor Kay Albright presiding. Private interment will occur at a later date in Wayne County at the Community Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Questions: Pastor Albright -(304)-807-3107.
Memorial donations for Lisa will be received by Bridges of Grace UCC, PO Box 2562, Charleston, WV  25329.
