Martha “Jane” Johnson

Martha “Jane” Johnson 79, of Charleston, passed away, October 17, 2021.

Jane was born December 23, 1941, in Kanawha County, to the late Walter Garnet and Golda Mae Bradshaw Hudnall. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Dawn Hudnall, Margaret Elizabeth Tyler, brother, Walter Garnet “Buddy” Hudnall, Jr., former husband Charles Vernon Johnson.
She was retired from the State of WV and worked for several tax organizations.

Jane loved to fish, bowl, crafting and playing cards and was a doting grandmother.
Jane is survived by her loving family, daughters, Veronica Johnson, Cheryl Hudson, Jean (Kelly) Turley, son, Charles V. “C.J” Johnson, II (Sarah Garretson), sister, Carolyn “Carol” (Gary) Fisher, brother, Homer “Jack”Jackson Hudnall. 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Karen Bailey, Jane’s caregiver.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, at Elk Funeral Home 2001 Pennsylvania Ave. Charleston, WV 25302, with Pastor Ruth Ann Delong officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time.

Masks will be required for both services.
