Michael Spencer Sr.

Michael Lee Spencer Sr., 54, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away on September 20, 2026, at CAMC General Hospital. Michael was born in Charleston on May 19, 1972, to the late Virgil Lee and Peggy Ann Spencer. Michael is also preceded in death by his brother Brian Spencer. 

He is survived by his wife Sonya Spencer and sons Michael Lee Spencer Jr., Calab Blankinship, Shane Peck and Matthew Peck; brothers, Douglas and David Spencer; sister Joyce Slater; and 4 grandchildren. 

Michael was the former owner of J & J Auto Salvage & Parts. Michael also worked in highway construction and repair as a concrete saw operator. 

Services for Michael will be held at Elk Funeral & Cremation Service, 2001 Pennsylvania Avenue Charleston, West Virginia, on Friday September 25, 2026, with a gathering of family and friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with funeral service at 6:00 PM.
