Philip Allen Walden, 55, of Charleston entered Heavens Gates on October 13, 2024, surrounded by family and listening to gospel music. Philip was born on September 27, 1969, in Charleston, WV.

Philip was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. He wanted to do one good act of kindness each day. In his prayers, he always said “Keep the love in the family”.

He is survived by his Mom, Margaret Mazzella, Father Stanley Walden, and stepmother Heather Walden. Brother Troy Walden and wife Karen, niece Carly Walden. Other family members, are Phyllis Cochran, Kim Cochran, Michael Lacy, Karrie and Jasmine Mace, Jada Fore, Connie and Darrell Kirby, Mathew, Noah and Payten Kirby, Carl and Kim Walden.

Gone before, Great Grandma and Grandpa Truman. Grandparents Opal Bostic and Dan Mazzella.

Best friend and uncle Butch Cochran and great nephew Anthony Kirby.

Philip loved God, his family, and the Steelers Football Team. Many people will miss Philip riding his bicycle all around Charleston. Philip leaves behind a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.

Funeral service will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church (Tuppers Creek Exit Sissonville) on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Bartlett officiating.
