Reba Holley Burdette

Reba Holley Burdette, 85 of Charleston, WV, went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2023, after a long illness.

Reba is survived by daughters, Irene Butta, Darlene Reynolds, Arlene Harrah, and husband, (Spanky), son, Wayne Burdette, and wife, (Beth), daughter-in-law, Kay Burdette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Burdette; son, Roger Burdette; sisters, Dorothy Derrick, Thelma Clark, Dolly Southall, Judy Hershman, Carolyn Oxley; brother, Okie Holley; brother-in-law, Jimmie Taylor; sons-in-law, Thomas Butta, Joey Roberts.

Reba is also survived by brother, Melvin Holley, and wife, Sue, John Holley, and wife, Shirley, William “Wiggie” Holley, and wife, Vonda, sisters, Margie Newhouse and husband, Cecil, and Christine Taylor.

Reba is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Reba was a lifelong resident of Charleston and was a longtime employee of the Sissonville Public Library.

The family wishes to thank all Physican’s and Staff at Meadowbrook Nursing Home for the excellent care of their mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be sent to the Foundation for Alzheimer’s or Hospice Care.

Private Family viewing will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 24th, at Elk Funeral Home, Charleston, after viewing, she will be cremated.
