Rex Moore

Rex Moore (Boo), 68, passed away suddenly at Thomas Memorial Hospital on April 15, 2025.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Mabel Thacker, and father, William Moore; sister, Brookie Lynn Moore; brothers Billy Jo Moore, Jimmy Moore; and daughter Jennifer Hackney. 

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Beverly Moore of Sissonville, West Virginia; grandchild Logan Angel of Sissonville, West Virginia; children Mandy Moore of Virginia, Lisa Moore of Virginia, Christopher Fields of Sissonville, West Virginia, Brittany (Travis) Angel of Sissonville, West Virginia, Shannon Hackney of Sissonville, West Virginia, and Tyler Moore of Sissonville, West Virginia; sisters Wilma (Wayne) Miller of Alum Creek, West Virginia, Thelma (Bernard) Harless of Big Creek, West Virginia, and Karen (Bill) Johnson of Sumerco, West Virginia; brother John (Nina) Moore of Alum Creek, West Virginia; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, and his favorite sidekick (Bandit) his beloved dog.

Officiating the service will be Pastor Jerry Walls.

The visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 11 am - 1 pm with a service starting at 1 pm at Elk Funeral and Cremation Service, 2001 Pennsylvania Avenue, Charleston, West Virginia, 25302. Followed by a private burial.
