Tommy was a member of the Charleston West Lions Club, having received the Leonard Jarret Award, the highest honor given by The West Virginia Lions Sight Conservation Foundation that can be awarded to a Lions Club member.
Tommy was born April 4, 1957, to the late Charles C. and Carlos M. Challis Butta.
He is also preceded by a brother, Michael Butta. Tommy is survived by his wife, Irene Butta, daughters, Candice Hilbert of Sissonville, Rebecca (Tim) Dillard of Liberty, sister, Nancy Butta of Charleston, brothers, Charles (Tonga) Butta Jr. of Charleston, Vincenzo (Jessica) Butta of Ellenboro, Stephen (Jennifer) Butta of Alum Creek, and sister-in-law Judy Butta.

Tommy will be entombed at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. The family would like to thank Beth and Scott of Kanawha Hospice Care, who made Tommy comfortable and helped them at this most difficult time.
Irene and Nancy would like to thank Dale Burger, who has been their rock during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Tommy’s memory be made to Charleston West Lions Club, Saint Anthony Catholic Church, or Kanawha Hospice Care.
Elk Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Butta family with their friend and co-worker’s service.
