Wayne Allen Dodson

Wayne Allen Dodson, age 34 of Charleston, WV. Stepped over to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2024. He was the beloved son of Cheryl Fox, Jerry Walls and Allen Dodson. Cherished brother of Bethany Walls, Cherokee (Michael) Jones, Danielle Walls, Heather (Tony) Hudson, Steven Walls, Bubby (Jessica) Walls, Amber (Dale) Jarrell, Jennifer Porter, Lantz Dodson, and Cody (Jasmine) Dodson. Wayne is survived by his children Emerson Dodson, Aydenn Dodson, Addison Dodson and Ashtyn Dodson, Grandmother’s Suzy Hanshaw and Alberte Dodson. Wayne is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Wayne had such a personality that not many could resist. His smile, laughter and jokes were the very things that made him who he was.

Wayne loved his family: his family was everything. Wayne was a perfect example of who God wants us to be; love everyone, judge no one and help one another. Our hearts may be broken, but Wayne’s smile and laughter will always be the joy we remember when we think of him. A special thank you to be said to Dr. Waddell, Dr. Rame and the WVU Medicine ICU Care team at Thomas Memorial and the pulmonary team who took tremendously great care of Wayne in his last days, also the many Pastors and friends who came to pray with Wayne, Thank You. Visitation and Service will be held at Shining Light Celebration Church with Pastor Mont Herdman officiating on Friday March 8,2024 at 1PM with visitation one hour prior. Burial services will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville, West Virginia. Elk Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to be assisting Wayne’s family.
