William Michael Jones

William "Mike" Jones, age 62, passed away on February 12, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Mike is survived by his devoted son, Michael Wayne Jones, and his wife, Cherokee Jones. His grandchildren, Asa, Ella, and Aspen Jones, brought him immense joy and were the light of his life. He is also survived by his sister Terri Walker.

In addition to his immediate family, Mike is also survived by his ex-wife and caregiver, Linda Strickland-Moore, with whom he shared many years of memories and experiences.

Mike was a beloved father, son, grandfather, and brother. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Edith Mairs, his father, William Jones, his brother, Dale, and his sisters, Ramona, Robin, and Sheila. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Jacklyn, whose memory he held dear.

Mike's kindness, humor, and strength will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, reunited with his loved ones who have gone before him. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Elk Funeral & Cremation Service, 2001 Bigley Avenue Charleston, West Virginia on Saturday, February 17, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service with the Reverend Jerry Walls officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Sissonville, West Virginia. Elk Funeral & Cremation Service is honored to be assisting Mike’s family.
